Nora McMillen Burke is a visual artist and textile designer known for her colorful, pattern-forward paintings inspired by the natural world and her love of antique textiles and folk art. Born in Austin, TX, Nora studied textile design at the Fashion Institute of Technology before establishing a career in art education. Now she works primarily with watercolors , often combining dye and marbling techniques. Her art work examines symmetry, pattern, flora and fauna and highlights common symbolism found throughout global embroidered textile traditions. She launched her hand painted, sustainably printed wallpaper collection in 2023 and added textiles in 2024. Nora lives in Austin with her husband and three children.
